How to use one-component platinum vulcanizing agent correctly? Complete operation guide

The one-component platinum curing agent paste (TNPS-G series) has become the preferred material in the silicone products industry due to its odorlessness, high hygiene level and excellent performance. This article will analyze its use steps and precautions in detail to help you complete the curing process efficiently.

Steps in detail:

  1. Pre-treated silicone
    • The spacing between the rollers of the mixing mill is set to 400-600 (not more than 800 for special rubber compounds), and the silicone is mixed until it softens.
  2. Adding vulcanizing agent
    • Add precisely according to the hardness of the raw materials (e.g. 0.8% for 30°A and 1.2% for 50°A), add colorants or additives simultaneously, and mix evenly.
  3. Film production and storage
    • The tablet temperature should be controlled at ≤45℃, and the effect will be better after storage for 4-8 hours.
  4. Vulcanization temperature setting
    • Compression vulcanization: 140-150℃; Extrusion vulcanization: 500-550℃ (adjusted according to product structure).

Note:

  • Avoid contact with nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur-containing substances to prevent premature vulcanization.
  • For black products, use platinum-compatible color glue.
  • The storage temperature of the glue is ≤40℃, and the shelf life is more than 15 days.
